Toddle Inn Curriculum

Toddle Inn is a play-based early childhood education organization, which follows Creative Curriculum practices.  Creative Curriculum uses classroom interest areas to present opportunities for content exploration. We believe that ‘in the early childhood setting, curriculum means ‘all the interactions, experiences, activities, routines and events, planned and unplanned, that occur in an environment designed to foster children’s learning and development’. [adapted from Te Whariki]

The curriculum at Toddle Inn follows seasonal themes as well as children’s interests while aligning with the Maine Early Learning Developmental Standards and the Maine Early Learning Guidelines for Infants and Toddlers.  Educators in all classrooms focus on the process of children’s learning and offer many opportunities to explore materials and concepts. Classrooms are rich with activities, sensory play, art, and materials to encourage pre-literacy and pre-numeracy concepts.
